Building the landscape

I almost know what the end results might look like. I know I need a false bottom to get more water in the tank which means the water chemistry will be more stable. I have searched the net and been asking around to find out what brand of pu-foam to use for the landscape. No safe results. So at the end I decided to go with a Pattex Universal Pu-Foam. 89 SEK from Clas Ohlson.

Now I have started building the landscpe. Not as easy as I thought.Still got a feeling that it might work fine.

Vivarium Part 2

Still undecided on the vivarium design. Of course that does not stop me from buying stuff that might be useful.

Bought a bunch of Tillandsias (also called air plants) today.  The general idea was they will fit in somewhere. It turns out Tillandsias and rain system are not a good combination. Tillandsias need to dry out completely in between waterings and  they can not be planted on a moss bed or have moss around them.

New Vivarium Project

I have had aquariums for a many years. Currently I happen to have empty 110L aquarium that I have decided to rebuild into a plaudarium or vivarium. Since I do not have the time to care for any animals, I have decided there will be no frogs, fish in the tank. Just plants.

A few things to note:

Design
I would like to have a view into the vivarium from two or three sides.

Substrate (what to use)
Not sure what substrate to use

Water filtration.
No doubt that I need a water filtration if there is  water in the tank. Would like to build the filtration internally. Thus can not have too much water inside.

Air circulation needed?
Mist

Rain
Do I need rain. I Understand that some moss will constant moistening. Rain might make it a bit easier.

Fauna
Prefer not to have any kind of animals right now. 

Pizzadeg

• 2 ½ dl vatten
• 2 msk olja
• ½ tsk salt
• ca 5-6½ dl vetemjöl
